Fata Morgana (29.08.2023), 2024
This artistic realization comprises a cluster of works. The centerpiece is Fata Morgana (29.08.2023), a framed diptych (walnut frame, 101,2 x 42,8 cm) composed of two cyanotypes on Arches Platine paper, each size A3. It is combined with Untitled, 2024, an analog black-and-white contact sheet that I developed on A4-size Baryta paper (framed dimensions: 31 x 40 cm); and with Moirai, Ambleteuse (09.10.2023), 2023, an A2-size digital photograph composed of a grid of thirty-eight digital color photographs (framed dimensions: 44 x 61 cm), which also exists in the form of a video sequence. This works circles around apparitions, and reflects on their pieces and parts as they might be come across in the Strait of Dover.
