Dover and Calais to Dunkerque and Ramsgate, 2021.
This potential nautical chart I co-created, using the heteronym of Othillia G ⎯, with graphic designer Romy Delanghe. A selection from the doodles included in my Ground Sea book (2021) is positioned on a historical map of the Dover Strait. Sewn together through a range of tidal vectors, the selected images and text fragments seek to create the impression of an imaginary floating pontoon linking the British coast to Continental Europe.
